Travel eSIM troubleshooting before contacting support

Separate three situations: the eSIM is absent from settings, it is installed but cannot register, or it registers but cannot use data. This makes a support request more useful than “my eSIM does not work.” Use the selected package's instructions and change one thing at a time.

Describe the stage where it fails

Follow package-specific APN and roaming instructions

Airalo's connection troubleshooting guide directs users to their eSIM access instructions, including APN where required. Do not copy an APN from a different package. If changing roaming settings, check which SIMs the setting affects on your phone and your home carrier's charges.

Do not erase your evidence

Before changing settings, record the error and the steps already attempted. Keep the order details and support instructions available. Do not delete the eSIM or repeatedly buy replacements as a first response; confirm the reinstall or refund rules with the provider. This guide does not guarantee a particular fix.

A useful support message

“Order ___, package ___, phone model ___, software ___. I am in ___ at ___. The eSIM is installed / not installed. It fails at ___. I followed ___ and the result was ___. Please advise the next check and whether a replacement or refund process is appropriate.” Share sensitive identifiers only through the provider's official support channel when requested.

Arrange essential access separately

If travel arrangements depend on data, use an available permitted connection to save the route and accommodation details. Tell companions how to contact you while troubleshooting. A fallback is especially useful before leaving an airport or crossing into another country, but its availability should be checked locally.
